The Dorill B. Wright Cultural Center will present two of this week’s hottest entertainment happenings in Ventura County. Two separate productions will feature the magical illusions of sleight of hand, the other the majestic cultural diversity of Mexico.

Dale Salwak’s “Stars of Magic” on Saturday will feature four of the nation’s top professional magicians. Salwak presents his 20th annual edition, blending a mixture of illusion and comedy to entertain audiences of all ages. The evening features Amos Levkovitch, noted for his work with doves, and Mike Caveney, whose combined humor and magic have earned him a long list of film, stage and television credits. Besides the award-winning Salwak, illusionist Les Arnold & Company will also perform. Tickets for the 8 p.m. event are $12.

On Tuesday, Silvia Lozano’s Ballet Folclorico Nacional de Mexico presents a journey through Mexico’s dance heritage. Presentation of traditional dance and music from Mexico’s provinces is accented with colorful, traditional costuming. The company, which tours worldwide, was honored by being named the Mexican government’s official folkloric troupe at home and abroad. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $18.
