Moon, Hooper Win Two Events at Irvine Swim Meet

Grace Moon and Laurel Hooper each won two events to lead the UC Irvine women’s swim team to a 65-37 victory over San Jose State, and an 87-21 victory over Loyola Marymount in a nonconference meet Monday at UC Irvine.

Moon won the 200-yard individual medley, 100 breaststroke and also swam on the winning 400-medley relay team. Hooper won the 1,000 and 500 freestyles for the Anteaters (4-7). April Gibbs won the one-meter diving and Kara Anderson won the three-meter diving for Irvine.
