PDA Engineering Profits Increase 42%, Revenue Rises 11% in 6-Month Period

PDA Engineering, an engineering and software company, posted a profit of $1.2 million, or 23 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter, up 38% from the $866,000, or 18 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the three months ended Dec. 31 increased 13% to $11.2 million from $9.9 million. For the six-month period, profit increased 42% to $1.7 million, or 34 cents a share, from $1.2 million, or 25 cents a share, for the first half of the previous year. Six-month revenue was up 11% to $20.4 million from $18.4 million. In a separate announcement Wednesday, the company said it received a $2.6-million order to provide software and services over a five-year period to General Electric Co.
