CorVel Corp.: The Irvine provider of medical cost-containment and managed-care services said its earnings for the latest fiscal quarter were $661,000, or 16 cents a share, an increase of 56% from profit of $423,000, or 10 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the company’s third quarter, which ended Dec. 31, showed a 30% gain to $15.8 million from $12.2 million. For the latest nine-month period, earnings totaled $1.8 million, or 43 cents a share, up 64% from $1.1 million, or 31 cents a share. Revenue rose 32% to $44.5 million from $33.8 million.
