Unocal Corp. said its fourth-quarter net income reached $103 million, or 39 cents per share, on revenue of $2.461 billion. A year earlier, the Los Angeles-based energy concern posted a loss of $16 million, or 7 cents per share, on revenue of $2.77 billion.
Unocal benefited from debt reduction and cost cutting, in addition to higher gasoline profits and increased natural gas prices.
