RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE : Home Builder’s Name Will Change but Its President Will Stay the Same
Compiled by John O'Dell / Times staff writer
Larry Webb, who left a divisional presidency at home-building giant Kaufman & Broad Homes Inc. in 1991 to take over as president of A-M Homes of Southern California, has a new title, kinda.
Santa Barbara-based A-M and its Northern and Southern California divisions were purchased in September by Burbank-based Pacific Greystone Corp. Now year-old Greystone is absorbing its purchase.
The A-M name will disappear July 1. Webb, who taught history before changing careers and knows all about how things change with time, will be president of Greystone Homes’ South Coast Division.
