SORRY, MICKEY: Odetics Inc., an Anaheim-based manufacturer of satellite recorders and robots, remains on the list for the third edition of the 1984 “100 Best Companies to Work for in America.” No other local company--not even Disneyland, on the original list--has done that. Joel Slutzky, chief executive of the 23-year-old company, says the secret is making the work fun even in tough times. “The real test of a corporate culture is how it reacts even when things aren’t going well,” he says.
