Nightclub to Open: If Stallone, Madonna and Prince tire of fighting traffic on Sunset Boulevard, home to the stylish Roxbury supper and dancing club, they’ll soon be able to instead stroll down to Orange County, where a sister club is about to open.
The “multiconcept entertainment venue” will open at Hutton Centre in Santa Ana, filling the space formerly occupied by Hubert’s. The club’s operators are Elie and Demitri Samaha of Los Angeles. They plan a gala opening on Feb. 26.
Food will be handled by David Wilhelm, who also operates Bistro 201 in Irvine and Diva in Costa Mesa.
Roxbury isn’t the brothers’ only high-profile operation.
The Samahas’ Westside Restaurant Ventures is also responsible for Kachina Grill in downtown Los Angeles; Benvenuto in West Hollywood; Tacos Tacos, a fast-food chain; and Shelter, nightclub in Pasadena. Babylon, a West Hollywood restaurant, is to open in March and a second Benvenuto in February, the Samahas say.
In addition to places for celebrities to dine and dance, the Samahas started Celebrity Dry Cleaners, which has 60 units in Southern California.
