CASTING CALL / AUDITIONS

The Santa Paula Theater Center will hold auditions for “The Comedy of Errors” tomorrow through Sunday at the company’s theater, 125 S. 7th St. in Santa Paula. Director Tom Hall will hold auditions tomorrow from 7-10 p.m. and Saturday from 2-6 p.m., with Sunday reserved for callbacks. All roles are available, Hall says, and “everybody is encouraged to audition regardless of their level of experience with Shakespeare.” “The Comedy of Errors” is scheduled to open the Santa Paula Theater Center’s season on March 19, with performances on Thursday nights through Sunday matinees through April 25.

Seniors 50 years and older are invited to audition for the melodrama “Dirty Work at the Crossroads,” which was originally scheduled for last fall. The play will be produced by the Ventura Department of Parks and Recreation, under the direction of Bob Reynolds. Actors, stagehands, set builders and other behind-the-scenes personnel are welcome to attend the auditions, tomorrow at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. The play will be performed at 2 p.m. on March 13, 14, 20 and 21 at the Plaza Players Theater.
