Brea : 3 on City Council Join Regional Boards
Three members of the City Council have been appointed to separate public agencies responsible for policies and programs dealing with regional issues.
The recent appointment of Mayor Burnie Dunlap and council members Glenn G. Parker and Bev Perry will give Brea residents and businesses “several voices representing their values and concerns,” Assistant City Manager Tim O’Donnell said.
Dunlap was appointed to the Regional Advisory and Planning Council, which implements Measure M’s growth-management requirements and the Air Quality Management Plan.
Parker was appointed to represent Orange County on the state League of Cities’ Housing, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee. The committee makes recommendations on planning, community development, incorporation, annexation, urban renewal and redevelopment.
Perry will represent north Orange County on the executive board of the Southern California Assn. of Governments. Her district includes Brea, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda.
