PORT HUENEME : Police Seek Gunman in Bank Robbery
A lone gunman held up a Port Hueneme bank Friday, ordering employees and customers to the floor before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man entered Household Bank in the 2600 block of N. Ventura Road about 3:05 p.m. and held a teller up at gunpoint, Port Hueneme police said.
He apparently was unhappy with the amount of cash given him and began threatening bank employees and customers, ordering them to lay on the floor and firing a single round into the ceiling, police said.
A teller gave him more money and the man fled on foot, authorities said. The robber was still at large Friday night, police said.
