The Dodgers agreed to terms on a two-year, $3.6-million contract with reliever Jim Gott, avoiding arbitration.

Gott, 33, who appeared in a career-high 68 games last season, will receive $1.8 million for each of the two seasons.

He had asked for $2.8 million a year, and the Dodgers had offered him $2.3 million for one year.
