Dolphins’ Humphrey Faces Multiple Charges
Police in Columbus, Ga., have a warrant for the arrest of Miami Dolphin running back Bobby Humphrey, who was released on bond Monday after having been charged with possession of cocaine and aggravated assault.
Columbus police Maj. Robert Matthews said they are looking for Humphrey again because he had given a false name to police when he was arrested Sunday. Humphrey said then that he was Robert Humphries.
Humphrey, 26, was arrested in a Columbus hotel early Sunday when police found him fighting with Vantreise Davis, a former teammate at Alabama, Matthews said.
“Davis was cut in the chest area with a broken wine bottle. Humphrey made a move to the window like he was going out the window, but the officers restrained him,” Matthews said.
Humphrey told police he had been using cocaine. Both Humphrey and Davis were arrested when police found less than a gram of cocaine in the room.
