LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Discount for Payment of Delinquent Tickets Offered
- Share via
Motorists with delinquent traffic tickets have a chance to clear up their records at a discounted rate, a Los Angeles County Municipal Courts spokeswoman said Thursday.
The court is offering an amnesty program for most late traffic citations received in the county before April 1, 1991, said court spokeswoman Marcia Skolnik.
Motorists can clear the outstanding violations by paying 70% of the total amount owed on each ticket, Skolnik said. The only exceptions are reckless driving, driving under the influence and parking violations, she said.
Skolnik said the county has about 1 million tickets outstanding that were due before April 1, 1991.
