SAN FERNANDO VALLEY : 11 Officers to Be Shifted to Uniformed Patrol Duty
Los Angeles police administrators in the San Fernando Valley said Thursday they will move six officers from plainclothes enforcement teams and five officers assigned administrative chores to uniformed street patrols.
The change was prompted by Los Angeles Police Chief Willie L. Williams’ directive to increase the number of uniformed officers on city streets, said Lt. Joseph Garcia, a spokesman for Deputy Chief Mark Kroeker, the head of police operations in the Valley.
