Share

The Camarillo City Council will hold a special meeting Saturday to set its goals for 1993, which include attracting businesses to the city and improving public transportation.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at 9 a.m. at City Hall, 601 Carmen Drive, in the conference room next to the council chambers.

No action will be taken at the meeting, but council members and managers of various city departments will try to settle on a plan for what they hope to accomplish this year.

Among the subjects to be discussed is whether to abolish the existing routes for public buses and instead establish a dial-a-ride system, in which residents would call for rides.

Officials will also discuss whether to increase funding for advertisements that promote Camarillo as an attractive location for businesses.
