LANCASTER : Docents Needed for Poppy Reserve

Volunteer docents are being sought to help staff the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve for the spring wildflower season, from late March through May.
Docents give information about wildflowers and the high desert to visitors and help run a gift shop.
Volunteers are required to attend two training sessions. The first will be on Feb. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the California State Parks and Recreation office, 1055 West Ave. M, Suite 201.
The second session will be March 6 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the poppy reserve, 15101 W. Lancaster Road. For more information, call (805) 273-0414 or 942-0662.
