The manager of heavyweight boxing champion Riddick Bowe and a member of his entourage have been charged with misdemeanor battery in the beating of Associated Press photographer Douglas C. Pizac after Bowe won the title from Evander Holyfield last November in Las Vegas. One count of battery was filed last week against Rock Newman, Bowe’s manager, and camp member Bernard Brooks Jr.
