Decision Doesn’t End Schott Controversy
As “punishment” for Marge Schott’s deplorable racial and anti-Semitic slurs, baseball’s Executive Council most certainly has not given her what she deserves.
What the Council considers as an appropriate punishment for one of our society’s gravest ills amounts to nothing more than a six-month paid vacation attached to relatively minimal fine (as if a price tag can be placed on racism!)
