In Brief
* * Jellyfish, “Spilt Milk,” Virgin. The synthesis of Queen, Wings and Cheap Trick on this Bay Area band’s second album is both impressive and fun. The attention to detail is amazing, with aural pleasures galore. This could well have been one of the best albums of the ‘70s . . . but in the nostalgia-overdosed ‘90s it triggers a little voice in the back of the head that says, “Enough already!”
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
