Hertz and Alitalia Offer Rental Car With Flight to Italy

Hertz and Alitalia have combined to offer a complimentary rental car for seven days to full-fare first- and business-class passengers flying from Los Angeles to either Rome or Milan.

The offer, valid through March 31, includes unlimited mileage, collision-damage waiver, the 19% value-added tax (additional taxes charged in Italy), and a 10% airport service charge levied upon car rental companies at these airports. The car has to be picked up at the Hertz airport station in Rome or Milan immediately after the passenger’s flight.

First-class passengers will get, based on car availability, an automatic-transmission car that can be dropped off at no charge at Hertz stations in Milan, Pisa, Rome or Venice. Business-class passengers will get a manual-transmission car that can be dropped off for no charge at any Hertz station in Italy. Air conditioning is included on rental cars for both first- and business-class passengers.
