Aca Joe Quits Business: Loss-plagued Aca Joe Inc. has closed its remaining seven stores and liquidated its inventory. The Brisbane, Calif.-based retailer, which sold casual apparel, announced the closures Friday, saying it couldn’t obtain the additional capital it needed to stay open. Aca Joe, which had outlets in California, Texas and New York, did not disclose how many employees were affected by the closures. Last November, Aca Joe closed 17 stores and laid off 75 employees. The company had previously said it was in default under the terms of its line of credit and that its principal creditor declined to extend additional capital.
