Now Transsexuals Can Change Their Names, Too

BERLIN —
Young people who surgically switch their genders can now legally change first names to match their new sex, Germany’s Constitutional Court ruled Friday.
The high court struck down a 1980 clause in the constitution that prevented transsexuals from changing their first names before their 25th birthdays.
