Hamburger Hamlet Profit in 4th Quarter Is $692,000

Hamburger Hamlet Restaurants Inc., a Sherman Oaks-based operator of 31 restaurants, reported a fourth-quarter profit of $692,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $760,000.
The earnings recovery in the quarter that ended Dec. 27 came on a 22% increase in Hamburger Hamlet’s revenues, to $16.5 million from $13.5 million a year earlier. But the company said its “same-store” revenues--those of stores open at least 12 months--fell 1.4% from a year earlier.
For all of 1992, Hamburger Hamlet earned $2.94 million, compared with a $992,000 loss in 1991, and its annual revenues rose 20%, to $63.5 million from $53 million.
