Monterey Park fourth-graders and their teachers have been visiting the Monterey Park Historical Museum as part of their studies of California history.
The museum has models of all 21 California missions, Indian artifacts and historic household items, such as an icebox, flatirons, butter churn and hand-winding Victrola.
The 800 students are from Monterey Highlands, Bella Vista, St. Stephens, Brightwood, Repetto and Ynez schools.
