MALIBU CREEK PARK : Missing Woman’s Friends Seek Clues

Share

On the one-year anniversary of Nancy Huter’s disappearance, a private investigator and Huter’s friends unsuccessfully searched Malibu Creek State Park on Wednesday for the missing woman.

Huter, a 36-year-old saleswoman and Bible study teacher from Thousand Oaks, was last seen walking along Mulholland Highway near Las Virgenes Road in Los Angeles County.

Her car was abandoned, and a pair of her muddy boots were found on the banks of Las Virgenes Creek, but no body has been located.

“At this point, we just hope we find out about what happened one way or another,” said her sister, Marlana Huter. She said she thinks her sister was kidnaped because Nancy would not normally leave abruptly without telling anyone.

Four of her friends and private investigator Jay Jones hiked in Malibu Creek State Park, hoping to find some clues or remains. They discovered nothing after about an hourlong search.

“It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack,” Jones said.
