Honored as Patriot of the Year will be Marine Col. Charles J. Quilter II, a Laguna Beach resident who served in both the Vietnam and the Persian Gulf wars.

Also riding in the parade will be Sandi and Hal Werthe, who have been named Citizens of the Year by the parade association because of their support for community activities.

Joining them will be two Laguna Beach High School students, Nicole Talarico and Josh Seapin, who were named Junior Citizens of the Year.

Trophies will be awarded after the parade at the Irvine Bowl, at the Festival of Arts Grounds.
