Astro Sciences Approved for NASDAQ Listing

Astro Sciences Corp., a Chatsworth maker of computer-communications products, said it has been approved by the National Assn. of Security Dealers for a NASDAQ listing, effective March 3, under the symbol AOSC.

Formed in 1982, Astro Sciences makes software and other products for local area networks, which enable personal computers to be interconnected by cable. The company, which makes its products under its J&L; Information Systems division, recently posted a profit of $1 million on sales of $8.8 million for its fiscal nine-month period that ended Dec. 31.
