IVC Develops a Voice: Irvine Valley College...
IVC Develops a Voice: Irvine Valley College began publishing its first student newspaper this month. The Voice is scheduled to hit the stands every two weeks and runs from eight to 16 pages.
Every other issue contains an entertainment guide to Irvine and surrounding cities, such as Laguna Beach and Tustin.
The Voice is intended to keep about 10,000 students at the community college up to date on the changes at the school, said Olga Briseno, faculty adviser and head of the journalism department, which was opened in September. Among those changes: a library and a child-care center that are under construction, and a school basketball team that formed this season.
