LA HABRA : New Private School to Hold Orientation
Administrators at a new private school for girls scheduled to open in September are inviting parents to attend an orientation meeting Monday.
Chrysalis--an elementary school for kindergarten through eighth grade--is at 1400 N. Fullerton Road on the La Habra Christian Church grounds.
Enrollment will be limited to 40 students--10 to a teacher.
School officials said instruction will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Day care services for about two hours before and after school will be included in the cost of tuition, which has not yet been determined.
In addition to the traditional math and history courses, French, journalism, economics, gymnastics, music, drama, photography and etiquette classes will be offered, Chrysalis administrator Tara Christensen said.
The school expects to draw most of its attendance from Brea and La Habra.
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call (714) 671-0540.
