Business Enterprise Trust Selects Four for Honors: Chosen for social vision and moral leadership in business, the recipients of the third annual Business Enterprise Trust are Jack Stack, chief executive of Springfield Remanufacturing, Springfield, Mo., which pioneered an “open-book management” style; Julia Stasch, president of Stein & Co., for the Female Employment Initiative that helps Chicago-area women pursue jobs in construction; the Finast chain of supermarkets that operates in the inner city of Cleveland, and DAKA International, a Danvers, Mass., restaurant and food service company, for its AIDS-education program. The organization, based in Palo Alto, was founded by TV producer Norman Lear.
