Student Wins $5,000 for Public Service Spot
Phil Meske, a student at Los Angeles City College, won $5,000 for his class project producing and directing a public service announcement in a national competition sponsored by the National Assn. of Television Program Executives.
Meske produced the anti-prejudice spot as part of his Fall, 1992, advanced television production course. The piece competed with more than 70 entries from colleges and universities throughout the country.
