Let’s face it. We all love a bit of gossip and scandal. Who isn’t willing to lend an ear when neighborhood or workplace tales about some peculiar “goings-on” surface? And an entire industry thrives on gossip about the rich and famous.

Therefore, Turner Home Entertainment has just issued two big-budget videos, “Charles & Diana: A Palace Divided” and “Fergie & Andrew: Behind the Palace Doors.” The look-alike actors who portray the royals deliver “solid, intelligent performances,” according to a critic. You can observe the young Windsors cavorting in unseemly fashion in a twin-pack video priced at $139 for the set.

The Arcade Poetry Project will feature William Yates and Joseph Gallo, who will read their work at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Performance Studio, No. 34, N. Palm St., Ventura. Poets are invited to share their work at the open reading sessions.

The Ojai Film Society will present the premiere showing of a 60-minute documentary about the life and art of the internationally acclaimed ceramist Beatrice Wood, who celebrates her 100th birthday this month. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Tom Neff, the film highlights the longtime Ojai resident’s incredible life, including her romantic involvement with Dada movement leaders Marcel Duchamp and Henri Roche. The screening is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday in the Ojai Playhouse. Call 646-8946.
