Apple Computer, Siemens Form Alliance: In another sign of the growing convergence of computers and telecommunications, Apple Computer Inc. has announced a new alliance with Siemens of Germany. The two companies will work to equip business and home telephones with Apple’s Newton technology, wireless functions, integrated voice and data capabilities and other features. The first product, called NotePhone, will link Siemens’ telephone technology with Apple’s Newton to provide phone and fax capabilities.
