10 Leave Disneyland for Hospital After Repellent Is Sprayed
Ten people in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion were taken to area hospitals late Saturday after an altercation broke out on the attraction and someone sprayed a mace-like substance.
Anaheim police said two men were taken in custody about 10:40 p.m. Saturday after one sprayed the other with the repellent, Sgt. Kirt Robertston said. Passengers on the ride complained of respiratory problems connected with the spray, which officers could not readily identify.
Disneyland officials shut down the popular attraction and ambulances were called to the scene. Police did not know which hospitals park patrons were taken to and how serious any of the respiratory problems might be, Robertson said.
