CB1: “CB4,” the musical comedy from Universal, rapped its way to No. 1 at the box office in its first weekend in release, according to early estimates. The movie starring “Saturday Night Live’s” Chris Rock as a rap singer grossed $6.4 million over the weekend. Close behind at No. 2 was another new release, Paramount’s UFO movie “Fire in the Sky” with $6.2 million. Warner Bros.’ “Falling Down,” the box-office winner for the past two weeks, fell to No. 3 with $4.6 million. Next was Columbia’s “Groundhog Day” with $3.7 million. In fifth: Disney’s African adventure film “A Far Off Place” with $3.6 million. Industry sources said that numbers were on the low side because storms on the East Coast caused many theaters to close for the weekend.
