THOUSAND OAKS : Cal Lutheran Gets Renovation Grant

Share

Cal Lutheran University has received a $40,000 grant to renovate a lecture hall and turn it into a performance auditorium, President Luther S. Luedtke announced.

The grant from the Wiegand Foundation of Reno, Nev., will fund refurbishment of the 252-seat Preus-Brandt Forum on Cal Lutheran’s Thousand Oaks campus.

By extending the stage, adding lighting and installing a new curtain, the university will create a modern-looking auditorium large enough to accommodate the drama department’s main productions, said Peter Dunkel, director of capital programs. School shows now are performed in the Little Theater, which seats only 90.
