Pizza Hut Takes a Slice of Marriott in Anaheim

The Anaheim Marriott has added a Pizza Hut off its main lobby. Food and beverage director Dennis Nau says the 325-seat outlet is to “offer guests a fast, fun and inexpensive food choice” as opposed to the hotel’s other restaurants, JW’s and La Plaza--not to mention nearby Disneyland. Children age 9 to 14 are invited to attend a Saturday cooking class with chef Pascal Olhats, owner of Pascal Restaurant in Newport Beach. The class is intended to teach kids about fresh, healthy foods and explain some basics of meal preparation. The cost--which includes dinner the following Monday, when Olhats will re-create the meal the children learned to prepare--is $25 (parents are invited to attend the dinner for an additional $25 each). Cafe Fleuri in Le Meridien Hotel, Newport Beach, has begun offering a rotisserie and salad bar lunch that includes a selection of chicken, lamb, pork or beef, carved to order and served with a hot vegetable of the day. Priced from $8.50 to $12.75, it’s available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Elsewhere in the hotel, Restaurant Antoine will feature wines from the Kendall-Jackson winery with dinner on Friday. Kendall-Jackson’s wines are blended from the grapes of 20 California vineyards.

The menu will include bouillabaisse terrine and salmon and sole roulade with a potato caviar relish.

The dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m., following a 30-minute reception. $85 per person plus tax and tip. Reservations are encouraged. 4500 MacArthur Blvd. (714) 476-2001.
