Out of Denmark: Meryl Streep was awarded a prize Saturday in Denmark for her portrayal of short-story writer Karen Blixen in the Academy Award-winning 1986 film “Out of Africa.” In a ceremony at the Danish author’s birthplace near Copenhagen, Rungstedlund House, Streep received the 1993 Rungstedlund Prize, which is worth $4,000. The house was turned into a museum using money made by the movie (which, coincidentally, is on KTLA Channel 5 at 8 tonight). Streep is in Copenhagen shooting scenes for Danish director Bille August’s film version of Isabel Allende’s novel “House of the Spirits.”
