GUEST SPEAKER: Ian Pitt-Watson, professor of homiletics...

GUEST SPEAKER: Ian Pitt-Watson, professor of homiletics at Fuller Seminary, will speak at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday at Bel Air Presbyterian Church, 16221 Mulholland Drive. Pitt-Watson, a Scottish preacher, will speak on “The Struggle to Know the Truth.”

PERFORMANCE: The Northridge United Methodist Church Chancel Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of Larry Jarvis with soprano soloist Anne Bell, will perform “Requiem” by John Rutter at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church, 9650 Reseda Blvd. Other pieces to be presented are Rutter’s “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes” and Mozart’s “Veni Sancte.”

ORDINATION ANNIVERSARY: Msgr. Kieran J. Marum, pastor emeritus of St. Finbar Catholic Church in Burbank, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood at a 5 p.m. Mass Sunday at the church located at 2010 W. Olive Ave. Cardinal Roger M. Mahony is scheduled to preside. Marum, 76, was pastor of St. Finbar’s from 1974 until his retirement in 1984. A reception will be held following the Mass.

CHILDREN’S MUSICAL: “What Do You Do on a Rainy Day in an Ark?,” a children’s musical, will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday at Northridge Community Church of the Nazarene, 10650 Reseda Blvd. Care will be provided for infants. Admission is free.

DIALOGUE: A soup dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church of Glendale, 1300 E. Colorado St. At 7 p.m., there will be a dialogue between Pastor John Wetzel and USC drama professor and actor Steve Rowe on the subject of “The Fruit of the Spirit is Love.” A freewill offering will be taken for the dinner.
