BIG WEEKEND: For professional and amateur aerobics enthusiasts, the coming of spring marks two of the year’s biggest weekends. . . . Orange County got a jump on most of the country Saturday when the Workout for Hope drew about 175 at Orange Coast College. The event, which benefits City of Hope AIDS research, will be duplicated in a number of Southern California locations next weekend, including Workout Los Angeles Saturday. Men and women athletes endure a three-hour workout featuring low-impact and funk aerobics. . . . Up to 30,000 are expected to participate nationwide, raising $1.5 million.
