Here is a listing of community forums, debates and other events in the Los Angeles mayor’s race. It will run each Thursday through the April 20 primary. The El Sereno, Highland Park and Lincoln and Boyle Heights chambers of commerce will host a forum from 8 to 10 a.m. today at Luminarias restaurant, 3500 Ramona Blvd., Monterey Park. Continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Cost: $5.

The Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce will host a forum on the concerns of young adults from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the University of Southern California, Hancock Auditorium, Figueroa Street and Jefferson Boulevard. For more information, call (213) 482-1311.

KCET-TV’s public affairs program, “Life & Times,” will air a 2 1/2-hour live debate featuring the leading mayoral candidates on Friday from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The program will repeat at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Co., the Greater Los Angeles African-American Chamber of Commerce and the Black Agenda Inc. will sponsor a debate from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Golden State Mutual Auditorium, 1999 West Adams Blvd., Los Angeles. For information, call (213) 731-1131, Ext. 257.

Continental Cablevision’s “Perspectives,” a 60-minute program with studio audience participation and viewer telephone call-ins, will host “Meet the Mayor Candidates,” airing Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. on Channel 27 for customers in the Playa del Rey and Westchester area, and on Channel 28 for downtown, Hollywood, Venice and South-Central, Mid-Wilshire and West Los Angeles customers.
