Vocalist Sarah Brightman has canceled appearances with the Pacific Symphony for pops concerts on May 7 and 8 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Brightman exercised an option to withdraw from the dates so she can record an album and prepare for a film. The Tom Kubis Big Band, originally scheduled on the Pacific’s pops series for June 4 and 5, will replace Brightman. An artist will be announced to fill the June dates. Individual tickets for Brightman’s show had not gone on sale yet. (714) 755-5788.
