The tradition-rich spring holidays of Easter and Passover dominate religious life in the Southland this week. Following are some of the worship services, musical programs, pageants and community activities available. Admission to the events is free unless indicated.

Easter Sunday services, including sunrise services, will be listed next Saturday.

PALM SUNDAY

* Brookins Community African Methodist Episcopal Church opens a four-day spring awakening revival with services at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Services also will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.) * Garden Grove churches hold their annual Good Friday “Way of the Cross” walk beginning with a noon service at St. Anselm’s of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 13091 Galway St. Services will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Columban’s Roman Catholic Church, 10801 Stanford Ave.; at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 12741 Main St., and at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 11832 Euclid St. Other churches will be participating in the walk. PASSOVER

* The story of Passover will be presented in a one-hour public radio special, “Passover, Then and Now,” hosted by Cantor Michael Russ, with special guests Monty Hall and his wife, Marilyn. It will include highlights of the Seder, contemporary and traditional music and a recipe. In Los Angeles, the program will air on KCSN (88.5 FM) at 10 a.m. Sunday and be repeated during the eight-day festival of Passover. * The Chai Center is holding Seders conducted by Rabbi Shlomo and Olivia Schwartz on Monday and Tuesday evenings at a banquet hall near Hancock Park. The story of the Exodus will be explained in English, and Hassidic stories will be told. Traditional food will be served. There will be a singles happy hour at 7 p.m. Monday. SPECIAL EVENTS

* Cecil B. DeMille’s silent movie “King of Kings” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, accompanied by organist Gaylord Carter, who played when the film opened at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood in 1927.
