U.S., Philippines Reach Anti-Piracy Agreement: The two countries have reached an agreement that the Philippines hopes will get it removed from the U.S. list of countries failing to enforce trademark, copyright and patent piracy, a Manila delegation said in Washington. Philippines officials described the agreement as a follow-up to President Fidel Ramos’ Feb. 26 executive order creating a new government interagency committee to combat piracy of foreign copyrights, trademarks and patents.
