IBM Unveils New Low-Priced PCs: IBM rolled out 40 new low-priced personal computer models. The PS-ValuePoint models are priced from $1,080 to $3,579, offer enhanced graphics, more power and a broad ability to upgrade, the company said. The models are aimed at corporate and government customers that buy PCs in large numbers, but an analyst said IBM is also aiming at increasing sales to small businesses, home offices and first-time buyers. The new ValuePoint computers are central to International Business Machines Corp.’s bid to regain market share from competitors, analysts said.
