The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between March 29 and April 4:

Glendale

North Central Avenue, 500 block--A tax return check valued at $270 was stolen from an apartment building mailbox between March and the beginning of April by someone who apparently steals tax return checks and ignores all other items.

North Brand Boulevard, 600 block--A laser printer was stolen from a bank between March 26 and 29.

North Brand Boulevard, 200 block--Thieves took a laptop computer valued at $4,200 from a computer store between March 26 and 31.

Manhattan Avenue, 3000 block--Thieves entering through an unlocked side door took jewelry valued at $3,000, a video camera valued at $900 and a camera valued at $150 between 9 and 10 a.m. March 30.

Montrose Avenue, 2900 block--A thief posing as a potential home buyer at an open house stole two wedding rings, valued at $2,835, between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 30.

North Verdugo Road, 1500 block--A purse containing $2,000 in cash was stolen from a college student when her back was turned during a computer class between 10 a.m. and noon March 31.

West Loraine Street, 200 block--Thieves kicked open a front door and took more than $10,000 worth of home entertainment equipment between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 1.

East Broadway, 1000 block--Two thieves held up a small market at 8:30 p.m. April 1, escaping with $300.

San Fernando Road, 6700 block--Thieves used a sledgehammer to enter a clothing factory April 1 or 2 to steal sewing machines and garments valued at $11,105.

West Glenoaks Boulevard, 1100 block--Thieves armed with a handgun robbed a liquor store of $175 at 8:30 a.m. April 2.

West Cerritos Avenue, 400 block--A man was struck and injured when he walked in front of a Metrolink train at 5:13 p.m. April 2.

Glenwood Road, 700 block--Thieves entered an elementary school and stole two televisions, a laser disc player, three VCRs, 15 compact discs and eight tapes with a estimated total value of $7,500 between April 2 and 5.

North Central Avenue, 200 block--Thieves took 36 pairs of eyeglasses frames valued at $4,206 from the store’s optical department after the store closed for the day on April 2.

Montrose Avenue, 3000 block--Tools valued at $1,900 were stolen from an apartment building storage room on April 3 or 4.

Honolulu Avenue, 2600 block--Thieves pried a door open to enter a nightclub and steal cash, a tool kit and several bottles of liquor valued at $2,746 on April 4 or 5.

La Canada Flintridge

Palm Drive, 5000 block--Six air-conditioning units valued at $2,400 were vandalized between Oct. 15, 1992, and March 29.

Foothill Boulevard, 800 block--Thieves pried open the back door of a clothing shop and stole a wedding dress, valued at $400, and 35 vintage and other dresses, valued at $7,300, on March 31 or April 1.

La Crescenta

Foothill Boulevard, 3000 block--Police responded to an alarm at a liquor store at 4:35 a.m. April 4 where cigarettes valued at $4,320 and a microwave oven valued at $100 were stolen.

Rockdell Avenue, 2400 block--A revolver valued at $250 was stolen from a house where thieves apparently used a pipe wrench to crush a door knob to gain entry between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 30.

Rockdell Avenue, 2300 block--Thieves used a pipe wrench to break into a house between 11:40 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. March 30, stealing a bracelet, necklace and watch, valued at $1,525.

Atwater Village

Riverside Drive, 2000 block--Burglars entered a market through the roof to steal money and cigarettes, valued at $1,313, on March 28 or 29.

Tyburn Street, 3000 block--After forcing open a loading gate, thieves took food and other property valued at $1,000 from a warehouse at 12:30 a.m. March 29.

Griffith View Drive, 3700 block--Thieves opened a garage door with an unlocked padlock and stole tools, valued at $1,310, between March 31 and April 1.

Eagle Rock

Lockhaven Avenue, 5200 block--Thieves removed glass louvers from a rear window and stole cameras and video equipment, valued at $1,650, between 8:20 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 30.

York Boulevard, 4700 block--Thieves smashed a front window to enter a bar and steal money, cigarettes and guns, valued at $1,820, between 1:15 and 9:30 a.m. April 1.

York Boulevard, 5100 block--Thieves pried open a front door and stole cash and a TV, valued at $7,980, between 2:30 a.m. and noon April 3.

Yosemite Way, 4400 block--Using a pass key to enter, thieves took jewelry valued at $24,650 from a residence April 2 or 3.

Glassell Park

College Crest Drive, 4100 block--Thieves forced open a side window and stole documents, credit cards, checks and money, valued at $3,069, between 2:20 and 3 p.m. March 29.

Verdugo Road, 3300 block--Auto parts and heavy equipment valued at $5,520 were stolen March 29 or 30.

Weldon Avenue, 3200 block--Entering through a kitchen window, thieves stole radio and video equipment, valued at $1,200, March 31.

Highland Park

South Avenue 54, 200 block--Thieves used a pass key to enter and take electronic equipment, valued at $2,000, between 7:30 and 10:40 a.m. March 31.

Bend Drive, 4500 block--Thieves smashed a window and stole jewelry and a TV valued at $3,790 from a residence between 12:30 and 3:45 p.m. April 1.

Sunset Boulevard at White Knoll Avenue--Thieves took cash and jewelry valued at $465 from a man after making him kneel at 11 p.m. March 29.

Griffith Park

Crystal Springs Drive, 4700 block--Thieves took golf equipment valued at $1,850 from a golf course coffee shop between 5:30 and 6 p.m. April 2.

Los Feliz

North Vermont Avenue, 2200 block--A thief with a gun stole $250 cash and credit cards from a man, then fled in a car driven by a second bandit at 11:15 p.m. March 29.

North Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--A thief fled with $863 from a bank at 2:15 p.m. March 30.

Lexington Avenue, 4800 block--Thieves with a gun stole cash and jewelry valued at $6,462 from a man at 11:15 p.m. April 1.

Hollywood Boulevard at Edgemont Street--Thieves took cash and jewelry valued at $8,270 after the victim made an ATM withdrawal at 11 a.m. April 3.

Thorpe Avenue, 3400 block--Thieves entered a house through an unlocked front window and took cash and jewelry, valued at $2,070, March 31.
