LETTERS TO HOME DESIGN : Admiring Biscottis’ Perseverance

Share

Re “Nailing Down Priorities” (March 27): Congratulations to the Biscotti family on their new baby Elizabeth Rose. I also congratulate the L.A. Times for sharing with its readers the details of the Biscotti home restoration and of their lives. To watch them overcome obstacles, to see them persevere, gives hope to all of us in these troubled times.

A couple of years ago during an ice and snow storm in the mountains, a very old and very large oak tree gave way and fell upon our cabin, destroying 70% of it. Had it not been for the caring, love and help from others, we would not have been able to rebuild. We will always be grateful.

To read of Jeff and Rolinda, through times of frustration, delays, loss of income and unexpected inconveniences having continued to strive for their goal is rewarding.

The best part, though, is that they have made friends along the way--people who care. I would like to consider myself as one.
