China in Talks to Buy More Boeing Jets: China has begun negotiations to buy more wide-body jets from Boeing Co. in an order that could be as large as $800 million, company officials said. Last week, China ordered 20 Boeing 737s and a 757 in an $800-million order, and company officials said this order could match that. “There are active discussions underway right now for 767s and 777s with multiple airlines in China,” Boeing spokesman David Jensen said. China already has orders for 16 of the 747s, 10 of the 767s and six 777s, another Boeing spokesman said.
