Mexico defeated El Salvador, 3-1, in Mexico City in regional qualifying for soccer’s 1994 World Cup. Mexico, which lost by 2-1 in San Salvador two weeks ago, improved to 2-1-0. Canada (2-0-1) has five points after beating Honduras, 3-1, in Burnaby, British Columbia.
